New Proc B paper on predator vs. parasite that effects

A new paper, led by our colleague Dave Daversa of UCLA, looks at the question of how the ‘ecology of fear’ changes when risk comes from a predators versus parasites. It turns out that trait responses are strongest towards predators, parasitoids and parasitic castrators, but more numerous and perhaps more frequent for parasites than for predators. The paper was the result of a non-lethal effects breakout group at the Gordon Predator-Prey Interactions meeting a few years ago and we’re thrilled to see it published!
